American 🚛 driver | Independent Contractor for @driveusx| I am ANTI PARTISAN so don’t tangle me in that BS! | also Anti-ATA!! @atutruckers all the way!
After coming off Hometime today, and heading to our Markham terminal, I’ve come to a conclusion:
Indiana and Illinois are in a competition to see who can tear up the biggest sections of a MAJOR interstate, and cause the most chaos.
Indiana is cheating though. They brought Missouri in to help..
You know what I HATE about this time of year?
The incessant ramblings of election fraud because the other side wins something.
And no, I don’t just mean one side. It happens on both sides on a regular basis during elections - especially federal elections..
@Box_MX3@cabsav456@barnes_law No, he doesn’t - but he can echo their sentiment. You think he’s the ONLY one against this war?
You are A SINGLE person. You, like him, like me, are not “the people.” Your voice matters, but collectively, “the people” are divided (as usual) on this war.
@cabsav456 The problem here, is that the master purse string holder is an ally. He can simply not allow any ammendment to be debated or brought to the floor during the appropriations discussions.
@Acyn To be fair, she’s right. 9/13 required a religious test to be a citizen of that colony (later became states, obviously)
But the US constitution removed any religious test for federal service, making it a secular position. The states followed suit.
Trump *cant* veto it. It’s not a bill, it’s a concurrent resolution, so it doesn’t even go to his desk.
Senate still has to agree to it, and to be honest, it’s more symbolic than anything. Several presidents in the past have simply ignored it.
However, passing it in both chambers CAN have other effects, it’s a strong argument point to effect funding for the conflict.
Probably the same, except I’d more like to talk about the non-Kayfabe Bloodline. I mean, we’ve heard a lot from Dwayne over the years about his family, I’d love to get another perspective from a younger generation of the family. There is rich heritage in that line, and I imagine some of the stories would be captivating.
Soooo by justifying it, you’re basically saying you’re no better than them.
The Democrats covered up Bidens decline, makes excuses, GOP calls it out, furious.
Trump shows the same signs, Democrats call it out, furious. GOP excuses it “Because Biden”
Spell it with me: H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E
@DaveKelly060714@Acyn@lisachristinect It’s not ok for Biden to do it (we’ve all seen the backlash it got) but yet you’ll justify Trump by saying “But Biden”
Hypocrite much?
Shannon Moore. Him and Zach Gowan were having dinner at a Denny’s prior to a SD taping in the early 2000s (or maybe late 90s)
Signed a few autographs, and we had a decent conversation. Afterwards, he plopped a credit card on the table and told the waitress to cover everyone’s meal..
@TheRealThelmaJ1 I don’t think anything will happen. It’s an interim position. The man is a seat warmer. Duffy was interim director of NASA and did zip with the position.
And that’s a scary premise considering how important our intelligence community is right now especially.
I’ll make it simple: when driving 60+ foot commercial vehicle, it’s a TON easier to “pre-merge” a mile or two back because when we get to the merge point, we may have very little space to get over since 4wheelers want to get in front of us in any way possible, due to the amount of time it takes us to get back up to speed.
Or we could just hang back and let everyone zip around us, and clog up the merging lane even longer. Your choice.
I understand zipper merge just fine. I choose to ignore it for your sanity and mine.
People who don't understand zipper merging should have all their plumbing replaced with plastic straws.
I've never understood why "We all line up and go really slow and leave an empty lane open for miles" is Decent Citizen™ RW coded and "Drive normally in as many lanes as are available" is LW "redditbrain" coded. Perhaps it satisfies some unsated desire for duty and sacrifice.
I also think people are thrown off by the term "zipper merge" like it is some kind of carefully orchestrated ballet that requires masterful execution and could only work in an ideal world. It's not. It's just normal driving.
What is a two-, three-, or four-lane highway but a "zipper merge" that either hasn't zippered yet, or is always zippering and unzippering? In fact, normal highway driving is infinitely more complicated than a zipper merge.
Yet I have to get in line with the rest of the lemmings because if I try to drive normally and rationally, some Road Justice Defender will put the life of my family in danger to keep the empty lane pure and undefiled.
