1/Please share this thread on behalf of my physician colleague, Eunice Stallman, who is facing the nightmare of her 9mo daughter, Zoey, being diagnosed with brain cancer several weeks ago. @BlueCrossIdaho has added to their anguish by obstructing access to vital treatment.
Always a pleasure to hear @DrRashelleHayes present. Great talk by her @WintergreenVA PSV fall conference on the role of the clinician in providing culturally appropriate mental health care and services. #psychtwitter#MedTwitter

@WomenAs1 Having the right mentorship, involving them in research, and truly welcoming them to the field by current cardiologists- you can’t imagine how many’s times I’ve been discouraged lately: “too competitive for women” “oh, you’ll never have a family” etc.

Found out a male surgeon was negotiating for himself at a surgery center we work at & asked them to give me the same opportunity because he knew how much revenue I’d been bringing in. These are the amazing kind of #HeForShe moments that help keep women in medicine
