@banteg Tbh this whole model is sleeping on the part of this where nations are developing AI specifically as an existential arms race in the same category as nukes and that before it's good at much else it is going to become good at winning wars.
@MrSinpleton@lisavsworld@dvorstone She's not doing a debate or anything she's blackpilled and is venting about it. The original poster understood her and tried to give her some assurances that she has a chance to ever be a mom.
@tahiniok@nightlightra1n All you've done is made the argument that super autism music savants cannot be trusted with the right to vote, and that those excelling in college cannot be trusted to interpret reality because they cant understand something as foundational as categories.
@tahiniok@nightlightra1n It's not about signaling superiority, it's about how fucking bleak of a scenario we are in where someone can supposedly have all of your credentials and be incapable of understanding a categorical qualifier. It means that those things are not useful measures of intelligence.
@tahiniok@nightlightra1n That would be impressive in the 60s when you were expected to read Continental Philosophy to have college-level literacy, but less so when people like Bush Jr. can graduate a prestigious Ivy League school with Bs. The average college graduate reads at a 6th grade level.
@nightlightra1n@tahiniok Don't try to explain categorical qualifiers to them, their IQ is so low that it qualifies as being an SMI and they don't know that they're mentally ill
@Tricknologist_@Book_grrl_esque@nonlinear_james@LizzyStarrrdust@Hitchslap1@Schwarzenegger This dynamic is circumstantially related to why subcultures have been evaporating; anytime a proxy of high value within that subculture can be made publicly known and achievable through some measure of effort, that proxy indicator of value breaks (this happened to IQ also)
The retard right’s addiction to loser psychology is insane. They scream over security technology and say it’s useless as long as there are leftist DAs. Then you ask them how they plan to change the DAs and it’s crickets.
They don’t realize that it’s entirely possible to remove them through the political process, and that a key part of that is building the crime reporting systems so you have the justification to oust them.
SF, Oakland, LA, and Baltimore all actually implemented aggressive public private rollouts of security tech like flock cameras and license plate readers. This, in literally the most liberal cities in the nation. At the same time they kicked out their Soros DAs.
These things go together actually. They’re intimately connected. Private actors (yes even liberals) get tired of crime and start using tech for safety. The better reporting gives the stats, and digital video the emotionally impactful stories needed to win elections. Then they get the DAs and judges out and then 10 years later those cities are nice places to live again and they become more politically moderate because productive citizens live there instead of just the criminal underclass. Data is a weapon in this political fight actually. You can actually just win if you know how to play politics.
But many people on the right would rather think of themselves as outlaws who are going to get spanked by daddy government any day now, instead of figuring out how to be daddy government. The idea of being daddy government fills these people with horror. Loser mentality.
@Africanuts_@AuronMacintyre It's to try and "solve" piracy, which primarily is concerned with the distribution/sale of games by entities other than the producers. Making games 100% digital makes it easier to design with implicit kill-switches for scenarios outside of intended use.
@SashaGusevPosts@ClickingSeason Do you think that evolution is real? Do you think that every generation of genes individuates from the fucking Prima Materia? Do you think that it's physically possible to domesticate an animal?
