Meanwhile every laptop has the “this windows version is illegitimate” error.

Specific situation: I worked on radio equipment (simplifying) in the Marines. I remember there was a situation where a 8gb flash drive went bad on the gear, it’s what held the software needed.

Ez fix, go to the PX and grab a new one for $8
