@CatholicDrip___@eick74 Traditionally, you first let scripture interpret scritpure. No better Teacher than God, right?
It's my understanding that we should all then defer to pastors/priests and up the chain on inquiries
Does the RCC have unique authority to interpret scripture Protestants don't?
@Xtopher_Uzo Are we confident they left for this reason. Or assuming? The context of the whole chapter has me questioning if they may have left because there wasn't going to be a free meal
@CatholicDrip___ Are you unable to directly answer any questions? I ask to avoid assumptions....Do you ever intend to have honest discussion, or is this all just a bit?
@CatholicDrip___@TomJose75245504 "If you go by Jesus' words".....isnt that the whole point? If you don't agree with Jesus, then do you believe he is fallible?
@ragnarisapirate And that can go for the papacy in general. The whole thing seems rooted in a couple of verses.
There's more evidence and instruction for Israel and the tabernacle then what modern day Roman Catholicism resembles
@ragnarisapirate Excellent examples. This is why I was mentioning I was starting to look into the origin of infallibility. The concern is rooted in whether this is justifiable or an instance of taken authority that wasn't explicitly given.

@ragnarisapirate I understand God can do anything he wishes, including keeping one office infallible, but my faith in man carrying that out is not at that same level. The evidence of Israel's hot and cold relationship...his chosen people...being an example
@ragnarisapirate I get the sentiment, but the context of that whole chapter is that the crowd he's preaching to are some/all of the 5k who were fed the previous day and wanted to make him king by force. Seems they wanted another free meal, but instead were taught larger truths, 2/
