My face when I hear people refer to Esu as Satan or the devil!! 🤨
I was watching a Yoruba movie (it helps me learn the language as well). There was a scene where a Babalawo was chanting Ijuba and when he got to Esu the subtitle read “paying homepage to the devil” 😈 This was immediately my face followed by shouting “ESU IS NOT SATAN OOO!!” 🤷🏽‍♀️ The house was like Iyalaje “WE know” 🤭 I will forever stand on this!! Esu is one of the first Orisa’s my Oluwo made me STUDY!! It is wise to know who ESU truly is. Anyone that genuinely knows him will say the same… ESU IS NOT SATAN! If you are confused I can help you understand. I also have family that are children of Esu. They can help you understand even better or where I am unable to. The importance of this message getting across to people is bigger than a social media post!! There are people making these movies that KNOW THIS IS NOT TRUE advertising the lies. If people only knew the power of Esu and the good he can bring to their lives, the narrative would absolutely change. Don’t stay lost. Don’t stay misinformed and remember it’s never wise to join a bandwagon of foolishness… Even my Snapchat avatar was side eyeing! 😁
