Where in Bharatiya Sanskriti are young men taught to abuse, slap, and kick an elderly gentleman? Have we reached the stage, thanks to the viral toxin of bigotry and hatred spread by the BJP and the ruling establishment linked to it, that the prevailing ethos normalises such abuse of the old, so long as they happen to be Muslim? Such people as the young men in this revolting video are unworthy of calling themselves Indian when they have shown zero grounding in our culture and values. Not one mainstream Indian News channel, News Agency or News Anchor has reported on this incident. This is how you normalise religious hate crimes. They ignored when there were several hate speeches by several BJP leaders from the past few months against Minorities in Maharashtra. They are now avoiding to report hate crimes too.
