NASCAR races aren't long because of distance. They're long because they forcefully mandate two unnecessary breaks in the form of Stage Yellows to appease their TV overlords.

@jeff_gluck So many people want stage cautions gone but then complain when we get long green flag runs where the field gets spaced out. To me, the racing was still good, just not for the lead. Clean air out front was too good. Only had one real pass for the lead all day.

I have taken countless new people to their first NASCAR race over the last decade and they have a great time. And then when I start explaining the playoffs it turns them off to the sport.

@_TaylorKitchen_ I'm okay with domination, but these guys can't even run within a half second of each other. Briscoe was not great there at the end but there was just nothing Reddick or Jones could even do. And it'll probably be the same package when they go back in the spring.

@dgoodin24 I think you can. The difficult parts of learning a car that you race once a year is the technical stuff, not the actual racing. Stuff like pit procedures, shifting, restarts, hybrid procedure, etc. Doesn't mean Larson isn't an amazing race driver, it just takes time to learn....

@MambaSmith34 He's for sure way up there already. It's so hard to quantity all the accomplishments in our sport. So many people do so many different amazing things. Some that come to mind, in no order, are Mario, AJ, Jim Clark, JPM, Nigel Mansell, and honestly, Larson.

@DLand91 Nice that it finished clean, but this car still needs a lot of work on super speedways. It really just turns into whoever can have a good last stop and cycle to the front of the pack. Which is still good, but I would like to see them settle it on track more.

@JetJoe95 @strup2823 @f1trollofficial Racers race what's available to them locally. Single seater road course racing isn't what's prevelant in CA so why would Larson ever have made it to F1? Different areas have different disciplines just how different parts of the world have different cultures.
