GOOD NEWS: Security operatives from the NSCDC, the Nigeria Police Force, and the military in Anka LGA, Zamfara State have intercepted bandits supplier transporting communication devices and other provisions for the bandits operating around the Bagega axis.

The seizure could disrupt a key logistics channel that helps sustain bandits in the axis. Cutting off supply routes is just as important as confronting bandits on the battlefield.

Kudos to the NSCDC, the Nigeria Police Force and the military personnel involved for their vigilance and coordinated efforts. Sustained intelligence-led operations remain crucial to weakening criminal networks and improving security across Zamfara.

Just In: Bandits controlling Muntsira forest in Zamfara State have kidnapped 50 elderly men who went to beg.

Apparently, soldiers killed a bandit in Kandare; the bandit kingpin Jammo, known for reprisal attacks on innocent communities, mysteriously opted for reconciliation, claiming he is “tired” of bandity and wants peace.

The community then sent a committee of 50 elderly men to reconcile with Jammo in the forest; but they went without government clearance, as the state already banned such peace talks with bandits.

Upon arrival, the bandit kingpin flipped. He betrayed, and kidnapped all 50 of them. Later released 11 to spread the story, and held 39. A community leader confirmed the news to DailyTrust.
