fun fact: coach-practitioner fit is often way more important than coach skill.
the buddha might not be a good coach for you rn, he's kinda intense.
corollary: you don't need to be that good of a coach, just need to be yourself and find people who need your uniqueness. mwah
so much 'spiritual' language ought to be translated into practical phenomenological terms.
no self = contraction around center reference point dropped. process emotions = let moment to moment sensations be with equanimity. present moment = uncompressed sensory experience without interpretation. karma = accumulation of heavily weighted priors. surrender/letting go = ceasing of top-down narratives about ever-changing sensory experience. etc etc.
@TVachaW Pilgrim by Tinker Creek, (this passage about cataract surgery for the blind). The whole thing is my favorite pice of writing

@TVachaW lately I have enjoyed imagining thought (also emotion etc) filling space or being the very fabric of reality. This contrasts/illuminated how it was showing up before. It also gives it a pleasant coherence: all my experience moreso on the same page, not clashing
@relic_radiation I remember my first lab internship, seeing how much depends on funding, and it’s limiting what wilk be studied and how even if it’s not necessarily outright falsehood
@leofstevenson Much appreciated. Do you think you could make filter for relaxed/flexible routines? Helpful to those who want their sleep including for medical reasons, or many other reasons
@danielbrottman Sometimes I feel held lately by gravity, the strong nuclear force, time etc…intimately, in every organelle of my body, and kind of every point in space and time holding every other. Cozy and mind bending
