@OurSacredGrove Thank you for this Simon. Yes, indeed, mostly very fine. And no please not to the Reform party! – Gow is a maverick in so many ways, but am NOT pleased that he dismisses vegans so lightly, given the many studies that say that veganism could transform environmental destruction.
So I decided to walk back home rather than get a taxi from the rail station to enjoy the gorgeous North East Fife countryside on a summer’s evening - I used to scamper down this family farmland track as a wee boy. Many childhood adventures started down this track.
Sometimes I find myself perplexed & delighted, charmed & bemused by the image carved on old gravestones. This portrait of the “man in the baggy shorts” is just such an image. What on earth should we make of this ?
Interesting to see the angry reactions to this. Could it be that some people are uncomfortable with being reminded that their lunch used to be a sentient creature?
