Yesterday’s 🫎 Moosehide Campaign @SutherlandSec was a rainy success! The student led stations were supported by Indigenous support workers Laura Lewis and Nick Kofi George! Lots of important conversations were had preventing violence towards women and children.

Truth and Reconciliation week at @SutherlandSec has gotten off to an intentional start. Students have been learning the truth about Canada’s past and are reflecting on how they might contribute meaningfully in the future.

The 33rd march for #mmiwgawareness in Van was a beautiful sunny day. A huge privilege and honour to march with 125 students and colleagues from @SutherlandSec They wore red dress broaches that they sewed 🧵 and beaded themselves. Hope for the future! #truthandreconciliaction

Santa’s Breakfast was a huge success, raising money to benefit @HarvestProject . Staff were prepping in the early morning hours to receive Sutherland students first, and later our feeder schools Kindergarteners and preschoolers. And the big man in red even made an appearance!
