@Delta after that- I’m using the text option and they passed me off to yet another agent before I could even say “hang on- let me tell you how an agent solved this issue last week”. Seems like your agents don’t don’t to handle issues- they want to close tickets.
Hey @Delta, what’s going on with the Diamond Medallion help line tonight? After waiting 16 minutes - I’ve gotten a couple of rookie reps—one said I couldn’t get a seat at all (not true), and another couldn’t sort out upgrade lists. Not the usual service.
We’re proud to be a storteller at @worldwildlifeday on the successful recovery of the American alligator through partnerships between government, science, and industry. @LDWF pioneered the sustainable use program for alligator conservation that has proven its success!
Today, we honored @usfws@cites@crocspecgroup and industry for partnering together over 50 years ago for conservation!🐊🌎🌱♥️ Thank you to our own @QueenOfGator who shared our conservation story today!
What a wonderful way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CITES today! Thank you @USFWS , @cites, @LouisianaGators, @LDWF, @ivonnehiguero for allowing me tell the story of the American alligator’s conservation success. Happy World Wildlife Day! 🐊🌿🌎 #WWD2023
Happy #WorldTomistomaDay 🙌🐊Check out the video (Facebook/Instagram)from Kyle Shaney @kjshaney about an exciting Tomistoma project going on, with many thanks to Dhanu and the entire crew working over in Tomistoma territory to learn more about these amazing crocodilians.
I found out today that my brother wrote an email to @Krystal corporate about the new fries and how terrible they taste. Remember the time @CocaCola had the “new coke”? These new fries feel like new coke. 😂 bring back the old fries, @krystal
You’ve spent enough energy on the past; that’s not taking you anywhere. Kiss the disappointment goodbye. You can’t embrace the new things God has in store as long as you’re holding on to the old.
Praying for you @MarkRicht. You are a DGD, through and through. Your grace, faith, and class amazes me. Hope your feel the love from UGA alumni and fans around the world. ❤️ #markricht#dgd#UGAlovesyou
@PeterDaszak@ACSPublications I completely agree. However, I could have used the same words “erroneous, innuendo-filled, unsubstantiated garbage” about an article recent published in your journal -Eco Health- Please read here: https://t.co/tZcd3cttE3
@DanielNatusch@RachelNuwer@NatGeo@BoF@nytimes@CITES@voguemagazine Actually- media & writers publishing garbage CAN & SHOULD be blamed. Anyone w a 7th grade education can search the public CITES database to get a ratio of legal vs. illegal trade. If a journalist doesn’t do that- they are of the following: 🔘LAZY 🔘INCOMPETENT 🔘BIASED.
As a former wildlife trade officer who personally recorded these #WildlifeTrade data for 6 years, I couldn't agree more. Many people are incorrectly describing what these data represent when interpreting them to the public and policymakers. #science#policy
Scientists, journal editors, and reviewers need to do better when it comes to producing wildlife trade literature. As an ecologist, I would never get away with producing the types of poor papers I see regularly published on wildlife trade. The discipline can do better #science
Media outlets have since used the flawed paper to spread the misinformation it contains. They cannot be blamed because they are reporting on the work of others, but in this case should consider retracting their articles @RachelNuwer@NatGeo@BoF@nytimes@CITES@voguemagazine
Rather, the trade confers significant conservation benefits – and underpins the livelihoods of millions of people. We owe it to those people – and all people relying on trade in wildlife – to get our facts straight #scicomm
We examine a case example to illustrate the need for better scrutiny of wildlife trade literature. The paper is riddled with incorrect analyses, factual errors, and damaging interpretations. The trade they report on is not negatively impacting the conservation of those species.
