@THFCnoise@JGWorldThoughts I fed my chickens red cabbage, but it didn't seem to affect the yolk colour. They poo'd dark green/blue, which was interesting in an 'everyday science' way... 🤣
@JGWorldThoughts@slava_invests Probably from a white leghorn - they're neurotic, sprinting chickens!
Eggs are very good for poaching though - kerp the shape well
@PacoOnPause I haven't read a book for 4 years. I can do short bursts of text on my phone.
I did discover that my right eye wasn't tracking properly, so I think that's part of it...
@Sunshinefubp73@BenjscottScott2@Helen_Whately I'm perfectly positive, as I'm working on improving my baselines. This will not include paid employment for the forseeable future.
Now, I shouldn't even have to provide details of my health, but perhaps you could educate yourself on possible effects of other conditions???
@Sunshinefubp73@BenjscottScott2@Helen_Whately Could you possibly stop being so patronising?
I've a genetic connective tissue disorder & chronic pain condition - AND WAS WORKING WITH THAT.
Ok?
Long covid has made everything 10x worse & given me ME, along with a load of co-morbidities.
@StefBenstead There's also no recognition of fluctuating conditions. I have a seat & safe knives etc for the kitchen - but can end up stuck in my bed for weeks, relying on a nearby kettle, or food deliveries.
You have to cover all phases of your conditions.
@Sunshinefubp73@BenjscottScott2@Helen_Whately Ah, but I don't 'post a lot on social media'? 🤔 I type with 1 finger on a phone.
I've currently been stuck mostly in my bed for 6 weeks. I have cognitive problems to go along with my physical conditions. If I was able to work, I would be working.
@cmw_90@resfoundation Yep. I've now reached the point (at 59) that I'm wrecked. Intervention 30 years ago (when I kept asking & got brushed off) it would have helped with management.
Now I don't fit into an NHS silo - so get a helpline number... 🤷♀️🤬
@RITB_ I've spent £thousands on private medicine - so I now have clear diagnosis, advice & prescriptions.
DNA test - very helpful (as it turns out 4/5 methylation cycles are f*cked)
Supplements - for said cycles & others.
Supports - to keep wonky joints in place.
Taxis.
Heat (Raynauds)
@Salliepops It's one of those things that you get so used to live with adaptations, that you don't realise that you have to do things differently (and spend £ doing it)
I've spent £thousands on private medical stuff - diagnosis, treatment & prescriptions. NHS gave me a phone number... 🤷♀️
@Sunshinefubp73@BenjscottScott2@Helen_Whately Not true - I'd love to get back to work & am using my money to try & get back to healthy enough to do some of the volunteering I used to.
Oh, and it was at work that I got the 3 Covid infections in 6 months that escalated my existing disabilities to a non-funtioning level...
@PKirkbright@NoWayWoke I had a class of 14 year olds totally glued to the episode of 'Come Outside' - when Auntie Mabel & Pippin visit the sewage farm! 🤣
@Oldboatie One of mine does that - he's come right up to me, opened his mouth & deposited a very tiny mouse in my lap. It was totally un-phased & I think is a frequent flyer... 🙄🤣
Unfortunately, my other cat prefers violence!
@clareellenhope And I understand the rationale for paracetamol. Unfortunately, the programming of supermarket checkouts applies a 'computer says no' approach to more than 2 packs of any painkiller & I get suspicious looks for multiple purchases of 75mg aspirin... 🤣
@ladygreenkirtle Our Dad's are twins! 🤣 Parents finally got a cleaner to help - once a fortnight thing... Of course, that required intense research & purchase of a hi-spec Shark which rated 'excellent' for pet hairs & stairs.
They live in a pet-free bungalow! 🤣
@TheHoogie I used to grind my teeth. I got hypnosis & biofeedback for pain management (fibro) & also a course of low-dose benzo. That was over 25 years ago & seemed to stop the problem...
