@reputationfan13@MikeTheProgram The project did, but that includes land prep, permitting, the hotel, etc. No individual ride in this park broke $100M
Compare this to a single ride like Hagrid’s, which cost $300M
@sonoma150 For half the price of Universal Kids, and from a company that doesn’t have the expertise or money to create the types of attractions Universal can
@reputationfan13@MikeTheProgram The cost of a Universal Orlando ticket supports the development of multiple billion-dollar attractions. At half, they should at least have some $50M-100M rides in here
@daxtweetsthings I’ve had fun on a kayak through a canal. There are plenty of ways to have fun, but Universal should not put its brand on trash like this
@Mattlegostar2 Universal disrespects kids. You see the budget cuts at Dreamworks Land at USF and you really see it here. Somehow Dreamworks land beats this garbage by a mile
@BreakShifts At nearly $60/day (about the same as WDW is charging this summer btw), Universal could have done a lot more. An engaging dark ride (e.g., Peter Pan) isn’t that expensive to produce and much less expensive than something like Battle at the Ministry
@NickHutsonMusic Maybe there’s something about the LEGO IP that makes this type of park work (boxy, figurines made of bricks are impressive), but this is missing the mark big time. Universal should have either put in some effort or not bothered. I expect this causes the brand more harm than good
The problem with Universal Kids is that it presumes kids don’t understand quality and will be fine with a mediocre experience. As I kid, I always felt disappointed at the county fair after going to Orlando because I knew what good looked like and was frustrated by cut corners
@jake_coasters The Endless Summer resorts are literally themed better than this…
If this were my first experience with Universal, it would not be my gateway to their main parks; it would be the reason that I went to Disney
@tommyhawkins Did this last week and thought it was a great deal. Only a couple thousand people at event so almost every ride is walk-on; better than express. Specialty foods are included with no wait, and you just walk and eat. It’s only about $50 more than a 1 day park to park ticket
