@wholemars I wonder if attentiveness is being logged as a stat in all Tesla vehicles. Tesla could send this information to Tesla insurance or other insurance companies to help them determine how much they charge.

So far i’ve seen 0 compelling evidence that V14 Lite causes overheating. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but seems to be speculation that everyone is treating as fact at this point.

The computers are liquid cooled. I rode in @BLKMDL3’s car the night the first V14 Lite build came out. As far as I know the computer hasn’t suddenly exploded. @koby_pierce drove from Kentucky to key west in florida to the top of Alaska on V14 Lite and his computer was fine. If this was a common issue, he would have been toast early on.

As far as I can tell this is not a widespread issue, and I have heard of people getting computers replaced long before V14 Lite. It feels to me like a more likely explanation is just that some of these cars are old and there’s a massive heatwave across the US and the world right now. It’s possible that a coolant leak or something might cause a problem.

If there is an issue, im sure Tesla will fix it and replace peoples computers. But so far ive seen zero compelling evidence that this is caused by FSD 14 Lite rather than other factors.

Only if the software update caused it. Correlation does not equal causation. If I read your post, then stub my toe, are you going to pay my medical bills?

I’m not saying it’s not the cause, but Tesla or any other car manufacturer is not going to pay for a repair because it happened after something else

The only time I have an issue is when it misunderstands the speed limit. There’s a portion of my commute that’s 60 mph and it thinks it’s 75 mph sometimes. I have to disengage because 75 in a 60 can be a ticket. What’s crazy is there’s another portion that’s 60, and it will sometimes think it’s 45. I don’t know if it’s seeing the speed limit sign on the access road? It will still continue to do 70, so that’s a non-problem.

Either way I don’t think manually driving on FSD is the answer. It should either be FSD or manual driving. Any manual input should disengage FSD. Just my opinion

The funny thing is from the brief look I had of his profile, he seems to be a little right leaning. He’s thinking flock cameras are helping him at the gun range? Maybe to identify gun owners for future confiscation 🤣

I wonder if these people believe what they say. Guy posted gun ranges needed flock cameras at their entrances so police can protect them from active shooters. I replied how silly that was and flock cameras were just being used against everyone to include him. He’s like, I don’t go anywhere where flock cameras are. Of course then he blocks me after dirty deleting his original reply. Do you think he really believes this?
