@QuixotaDona @GavinWilliamson @ofqual @Keir_Starmer @zarahsultana @SadiqKhan @educationgovuk Now they’ve started doing the btec exams they’ve brush it under the carpet hoping now the initial fuss is over we’ll forget about it. Not good enough 🤬

[DoñaQuixota @QuixotaDona]

Confusion & anxiety for the poor #BTEC students after a pathetic half U-turn leaving colleges to decide. 60% not sitting and 40% being forced in. How can @GavinWilliamson put all those involved in unnecessary danger? @ofqual @Keir_Starmer @zarahsultana @SadiqKhan @educationgovuk

[DoñaQuixota @QuixotaDona]

Forced is the correct word. Whilst others don’t have to sit their #btecexams some do. This is farcical but the government have got away with it. They will be held accountable at some point. @ofqual @educationgovuk @GOVUK @PearsonEdexcel @Keir_Starmer

[Viper @ViperishTweets]

@ClaudiaWebbe Hi Claudia. Could someone also look into the number of BTEC students being forced to take exams and the staff being forced to administer them? We have far too many students and staff in schools.

[DoñaQuixota @QuixotaDona]

Why have all the journalists and news channels stopped covering this injustice?

[Karen proctor @Kproctor97Karen]

#PiersMorgan I’m watching you this morning hearing how many people are infected and how many have died. Btec exams taking place again today. If my daughter gets this virus the blame will be on the government and schools door. Unbelievable

@educationgovuk Don’t forget BTEC and CNAT students still having to do exams! My son having to go into school today, putting us all at risk. Thanks DfE!!! 😡

@QuixotaDona @Keir_Starmer @educationgovuk @ofqual @SadiqKhan @zarahsultana @Ofstednews @GavinWilliamson @JaneHutt @WalesOnline @childcomwales @wgmin_education @vaughangething @SharonBarrynews can u help pls.seems very unsafe given the levels of covid in the vale and across South Wales. They shouldn’t be asked to travel,sit an exam and need clearer guidance re impact grades,resits.

@educationgovuk I’m spending my days deciphering government guidance on education in the pandemic. Does this make me a key worker?

[DoñaQuixota @QuixotaDona]

@educationgovuk Unbelievable that you write this knowing full well 135,000 #BTEC children are required to travel and go into school unnecessarily. This is false information @Keir_Starmer @AoC_info @GavinWilliamson @ofqual

[G @geordiebirdie]

Why is this not a massive issue. Putting pupils at risk, both physically and mentally, exam staff at risk, invigilators at risk. Yet we have all to stay at home & act like everyone has the virus? #COVIDisAirborne #Covid19UK #BTEC @CarolineLucas @Keir_Starmer @GavinWilliamson

[G @geordiebirdie]

@Keir_Starmer @MattHancock @CarolineLucas @GavinWilliamson why no guidance protecting #Btec students and #btecstudents families?

[Richard Caulfield @caulfieldr]

Thanks to #bbcpnw and @MikeAmesburyMP for highlighting the BTEC exam farce and for student Josh for being as articulate as any person yet on this issue

This should have been looked at in November. A btec style model could have been organised. Not only that, speak to educational staff, exams staff who understand the vaguaries if the system too this time... maybe? @GavinWilliamson #Exams #exams2021

Exam staff and invigilators being put at risk due to this incompetence regarding exams #btec #pearson @GavinWilliamson maybe the students who pick up Covid whilst sitting these will sue you for allowing this to go ahead unnecessarily #schoolsarenotclosed #examsfiasco #Covid19UK

@10DowningStreet Sir, Many BTEC students will be using public transport to reach their examination centres. They can easily carry the virus back home risking parents especially if they are vulnerable. No guidance given to schools on what happens should a child decide not to sit the exam. Thanks.
