@flowidealism High schoolers in 2026 reading Plato and Baldwin… maybe. And that’s if they’re in honors or AP. But Martin Buber? Come on, man. No high school kid’s reading I and Thou. 🤣
@RegionalTVCat@SFAClubBsbl Now wait a minute… back in 1989 when I was taking my shirt off at games, I was considered a “hoosier” (STL variety). Now these guys are lionized, defended, and will probably have their own bobbleheads soon 🤬😡😡😡
@bdscheid@BiggestComeback Those things are so expensive though! I guess it all adds up to about the same for new ones, but if you’re looking at used sporting goods stores, nobody has the sewer lids.
@thefish64@SarahFarrellKS2@MrHteaching I genuinely don’t get that this is somehow too challenging or advanced for 1-5 grade. It’s just parts of speech and the rules that govern them. It’s a shame grammar is glossed over these days. Knowing the logic behind the language helps to build reading and writing skills.
@ZillennialApple I recently became a teacher after a career change, and I hadn’t stepped foot in high school classroom since, well, let’s just say the 90s. Back then almost every school had tracks, and I was more than surprised to learn they don’t do that now. You’re correct—it works!
