On his birth anniversary, we celebrate the legacy of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar.
The Maharaja and the Mysore royal family donated 371 acres and 16 guntas of land, as well as funds, to establish IISc. Their generosity helped cement Bengaluru as the location for the Institute.
@DKShivakumar Hope you won't forget that @BSYBJP Shri Yediyurappa on the floor of the house wishes you will be CM of the state One Day

The EU chose to discuss Kashmir with Pakistan. India had a simple response. 🇮🇳
Pakistan briefed the EU on Jammu and Kashmir during the 8th EU-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad.
And had it inserted into the joint communiqué.
India's MEA responded immediately.
"We categorically reject such unwarranted references on matters internal to India."
"Those who have no locus standi on such matters should desist from making any comment on them."
Now here is the irony that cannot be ignored.
The same EU cosigning Pakistan's Kashmir talking points has a Pakistan problem of its own.
Rape offences across the EU jumped 150 percent between 2014 and 2024, Eurostat's own data.
Germany's government acknowledged in 2024 that migrants of Pakistani origin were disproportionately represented in sexual violence cases.
In Cologne, hundreds of women were assaulted in a single night by migrant groups.
The European Parliament itself tabled a resolution referencing Pakistani origin grooming gangs who abused over 4,000 children across British towns.
The EU knew exactly who it was sitting with.
Perhaps the EU should spend less time in Islamabad discussing Kashmir and more time figuring out how to protect its own women from the same people sitting across the table.
Summer is a challenging season for wildlife, and the Tamil Nadu Forest Department has undertaken extensive measures to ensure that animals have access to water across forest habitats. The Department maintains one of the country’s largest water networks for wildlife which includes 373 borewells, 8,421 check dams, 2,734 percolation ponds, 541 water troughs, 270 waterholes, 115 open wells, 164 abd overhead tanks supplemented by natural water sources within forest landscapes. To further augment water availability this year, the Department has created additional water conservation structures, including 15 new check dams and 21 water troughs. Forest divisions have been proactively replenishing water bodies, pre-filling vulnerable water sources and supplying water through tankers wherever required to ensure uninterrupted availability during the dry months. Monitoring is being carried out through MSTrIPES, geo-tagged photographs, camera traps and real-time digital reporting systems #TNForest
"I didn’t pick up a girl from that garbage dump. I picked up a diamond."
This is not a movie story. A real miracle happened in the state of Assam.
Soberan, a 30-year-old man, earned his living by selling vegetables. He was not married yet.
One evening, while returning home after work, he heard the sound of a baby crying from the bushes near the road.
When he went to check, he found a new born baby girl left alone on a garbage pile. The child had been abandoned. Soberan looked around, but no one was there. The baby was innocent, cute, and beautiful. Not knowing what else to do, he took her home with him.
He decided to raise the baby himself instead of getting married. He named her Jyoti.
He worked hard every day and night to take care of her, making sure Jyoti never faced any hardship. He sent her to school and fulfilled all her needs.
Even if he went hungry, he never let her suffer. Jyoti completed a degree in Computer Science in 2013. She then began preparing for competitive exams.
She passed the Public Service Commission exam in 2014 and got a job as an Assistant Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.
Soberan cried with joy when he saw his daughter achieve something he never had the chance to do.
Jyoti now takes care of her father, but even after all her requests, he still continues to run his vegetable business.
Soberan told the media, "I didn’t pick up a girl from that garbage dump. I picked up a diamond. She is the light of my life."
Both of them are truly inspiring people.
A mother takes her young children to the zoo, where her little one goes into the tiger circle through the small gate. The tiger lifts him out of his circle by carrying the children on his head with a lot of love. This scene shows how much animals and nature love all children.
