It's utterly false to claim that cow-slaughter and beef consumption were socially acceptable in ancient Kerala.

Multiple independent foreign eyewitness accounts spanning nearly five centuries observed that cows and eating beef in Kerala was strictly forbidden and punishable by death. As early as 1292–1294 CE, Marco Polo, while visiting the Malabar coast, records in The Travels of Marco Polo (Yule–Cordier edition, Vol. II, Chapter XVII): "The people are Idolaters, and many of them worship the ox, because (say they) it is a creature of such excellence. They would not eat beef for anything in the world, nor would they on any account kill an ox." (Img 1) Obviously this cannot be just a casual observation. His words "For anything in the world" and "on any account" don’t leave any ambiguity. Cow-slaughter and beef eating were absolutely prohibited in Kerala.

A century later, Persian envoy Abdul Razzaq Samarqandi who went to Calicut between 1442–45 CE, described how cow-killing was a capital offense in Kerala: "The only crime is to kill cows and eat beef. If anyone kills a cow and it is found out, that person is immediately put to death. They venerate cows to such an extent that they rub the ashes of its dung on their foreheads (God's curses upon them)."

Russian merchant Athanasius (Afanasy) Nikitin who visited Kerala from 1466-72 CE, independently confirmed the same prohibition: "The Hindoos eat no meat, no cow flesh, no mutton, no chicken." Interestingly Nikitin points out that the only flesh eaten at banquets in Malabar was Pork and that Hindus never ate with Muslims! (Img 2) "The banquets were all on pork; and pigs are in great abundance. They take their meals twice a day, but not at night, and drink no wine nor mead; but with Mahommedans they neither eat nor drink.” Nikitin even points out that Hindus would not even let Mahommedans look into their pot, or look at their food and if this happened, they would not eat that food anymore!

Even as late as the 19th c. when Jesuit missionary F. (Father) Clifford of Society of Jesus travelled to Malabar region to reestablish missions in Madura, he observed that the “Pariah” (lower castes) had become accustomed to the Europeans and their modes of life but even they would be outraged and it would deeply “shock their peculiar prejudices” if a European Priest ate beef in front of them. The Jesuit priests who met Clifford said they had never even tasted meat, or wine, but lived entirely on rice and fish - to avoid social outrage. This tells you how important beef prohibition was even to lowest class Hindu society in medieval Malabar region. (Img 3)

Kerala’s own temple inscriptions reinforce this fact. 12th c. Inscriptions from Tiruvidaikkodu temple and Kaliyangadu temple specifically warn that obstructing temple charity incurs a sin equal to killing a tawny cow because cow-slaughter was regarded as the ultimate sin. (Img 4)

Cow-killing & beef eating were always religiously prohibited, socially taboo, and strictly punishable in Kerala.

Tipu forcing Kerala's Hindus to eat beef was one of the most heinous religious crimes. Stop trying to defend the indefensible with false BS about history that you have no clue about.

These are submissions of Bihar BJP government in Supreme Court.

Earlier they used to say that reservation is required as SC,ST,OBC representation is less. But their own data is showing that almost 70% of the government jobs are with SC,ST,OBCs.
But still BJP says, so what? Reservation should be increased by another 15% to make SC, ST, OBC representation at 85%.

So not only Uttarpradesh, but many other states also allow reserved category candidates to migrate to UR seats, despite taking SC/ST/OBC category based relaxations!

This is an absolute apartheid policy designed by many states, contradicting the central govt rules.
It allows reserved category candidates triple benefits, while denying GC candidates any fair opportunity, at all.

And all GCs were ignorant or not bothered till now??

This 81st amendment (not counting backlog in 50% limit) was brought by BJP under Atal Bihari Vajpayee govt.
They also brought 82nd amendment which relaxed the qualifying marks criteria under article 335.

Under art. 335, there was a clause of "efficiency to be maintained". This was added by Ambedkar himself.
But 82nd amendment diluted that requirement.

We don't thank BJP enough for reservation related changes.

- Article 334 originally limited SC/ST political reservations to 10 years (from 1950). It has been extended repeatedly and now runs till 2030.

- Originally proposed political reservations to 10 years (1950-1960). But its been extended for 80 years (1950- 2030).

- Job & education quotas under Articles 15/16 have no fixed sunset and have expanded far beyond original intent.

- System is now a major electoral tool. Parties keep extending or expanding it for vote banks.

- Benefits are heavily concentrated: Rohini Commission data showed a few OBC groups capture most of the 27% quota while hundreds get almost nothing.

- Creamy layer exists for OBCs but is weakly applied; similar dynamics affect SC/ST categories.

- Lower cut-offs for reserved categories routinely displace higher-scoring general-category candidates in exams and jobs.

- Strict creamy-layer exclusion + sub-classification within SC/ST/OBC should be enforced immediately based on data.

- Gradual percentage reduction (tied to literacy, income & representation benchmarks) over 5–15 years, while expanding economic criteria.

- Do not extend political reservations beyond the current 2030 limit unless fresh data justifies it.

- End goal: phase out caste quotas in jobs/admissions within 15–25 years, replace with pure merit + need-based support only.

Many BJP bhakts are giving excuses that falana dhimkana report was made by Congress, falana dhimkana state reservation was increased by Congress.

So dear bhakts:
No.
1. BJP also increased reservation in many states. 1st time.

2. Even after many High courts as well as Supreme court cancelled reservation (crossing 50% limit) in many states, BJP govts there are continuously bringing ordinances to reverse court decisions.

3. BJP govts in multiple states have commissioned reports to defend more than 50% reservation (all manipulated, anti hindu, anti GC reports with fake manipulated data). E.g. Gaikwad report, Shukre commission report-prepared in 9 days, BRAUSS report etc.

4. BJP has been fighting cases in courts for decades, defending more than 50% reservation, spending crores of taxpayers money on increasing reservation, pampering reserved communities.

5. BJP has brought reservation in many fields, where it didn't exist before or increased scope of reservation (NEET PG, 200 point roster, faculty reservation in 2019) as well as multiple reservation related amendments (backlog vacancies not to be counted in 50%, lowering qualifying criteria etc)

6. Not to forget- addition of section 18A in SC/ST act making it more draconian. And UGC 2026 regulations. And doing shoshit peedit vanchit 24×7. And bringing new caste based policies everyday. And eulogizing hindu hating historical figures, in every possible way. And then IT cell coming and calling GC activists Jihadis.
