The recently unveiled al-Imam al-Shafi’i Mausoleum. Restored by Megawra, within the framework of the Athar Lina initiative (arch. May al-Ibrashy), work done on the dome included reversing external damage to the cladding, repairing masonry, & restoring the interior decorations.

We'd been interested in tattoo boards for years (photo1: Ethnographic museum/Cairo). So it was exhilarating to find this photo among random papers from the archives of "Loiris" magazine (1947-49). The back says that "Al Hagg Sideeq complains that business is no longer the same.
