The frustration is real. Unemployment is real. The pressure on housing, on schools, on hospitals - it is real. South Africans are struggling, but xenophobia and violence are not the answer. #AfricaDay#UbuntuNotXenophobia

#Update: @ZLHRLawyers located @namataik_. at Harare Central Police Station after she was held incommunicado by state agents for over 8 hours. Her mobile phone was confiscated. Namatai is still in detention along with three of our brothers; Robson Chere, Samuel Gwenzi and Vusumuzi Moyo. We await an update regarding her wellbeing.
We are greatly concerned about the whereabouts of pro-democracy campaigner @namataik_ & 2 other people, who reached out to us, after they were removed from a plane at Robert Mugabe International Airport. We are trying to ascertain their whereabouts & what is happening to them.
These are pictures showing some of the sixty Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) student leaders that were beaten and arrested this morning by the Zimbabwean police.
The pictures were taken at Harare Central police station, the last picture shows a wound caused by the police beatings.
This last image in particular, showing a wound caused by the police beatings, serves as a stark reminder of the brutality that these students were subjected to by the Zimbabwean police.
It is crucial that the world bears witness to these human rights abuses👇🏿
Ahead of our planned activities in Bugweri, Pallisa and Soroti this weekend, the partisan police is through Frank Mwesigwa has yet again blocked our mobilisation activities! While other political parties and actors continue to have their activities including processions and rallies, the regime is always looking for any excuse to block us!
We have done everything to remain civil and non-violent. They are pushing us to a point where we must RESIST all this madness!

Folks book a private jet of $11 000 per hour to go loitering around the streets of Paris with their wives. Then tomorrow, Zambia must join other SADC countries in calling for the end of sanctions. These are self inflicted problems, our country must never be drawn into jokes !!!
