We are deeply disturbed by the arbitrary arrest and forced disappearance of Woman Human Rights Defender (#WHRD), Namatai Kwekweza @namataik_ who was forcibly removed from a plane by state security agents this afternoon. Namatai's dedication to #HumanRights and justice is commendable, and her abrupt detention raises serious concerns about the respect for fundamental freedoms in #Zimbabwe. We urgently call for her immediate release and a thorough investigation into her whereabouts, safety, and well-being. These are pictures showing some of the sixty Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) student leaders that were beaten and arrested this morning by the Zimbabwean police.

The pictures were taken at Harare Central police station, the last picture shows a wound caused by the police beatings.

This last image in particular, showing a wound caused by the police beatings, serves as a stark reminder of the brutality that these students were subjected to by the Zimbabwean police.

It is crucial that the world bears witness to these human rights abuses👇🏿
