Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting @RFAMountsBay.
The Royal Fleet Auxiliary is essential to everything the @RoyalNavy does.
Its people sustain our ships, move equipment, support operations and enable the Fleet to remain at sea.

🌙🌈 A little magic at sea…
Under the glow of a full Moon, a rare lunar rainbow — or “moonbow” — appeared across the night sky. A spectacular reminder that there’s always something extraordinary to spot from the bridge.

Tideforce, the last ship of the Tide class visited the last port of call for the Titanic for a weekend of downtime in August. Berthed just north of Cobh, the crew spent time in Cobh and Cork before a passex with the Irish Navy signalled return to normality
Father and Son reunited at sea.
PO Chef Jamie was joined by his father Kevin for our last sea phase prior to arrival at Portland with almost half a century in combined sea time. Even now Jaime still needs his Dad to fix things for him in the Galley!
Tonight at 8pm on @channel5_tv, 'Warship: Life in the Royal Navy', features exclusive footage of @RFATideforce. 🎬
Presenter @JJChalmersRM is shown around the ship and has access to the essential service supporting the @RoyalNavy around the clock. ⚓️

Although only a short visit, TFCE ships company enjoyed time ashore in Brest. Thank you to Brest Naval Base for being excellent hosts. Thank you to our liaison officer who gave an insight to the history of the Naval Base. Onwards to a busy training period!
Here’s to 120 years of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary 👏
We hope @RFATidespring is celebrating today!
Thank you for keeping us fuelled and sustained on #OpHighmast.
Happy 120th birthday to the RFA. 🎂 @RFAHeadquarters was established in 1905 to provide logistical & operational support for the @RoyalNavy. Its origins are marked by Admiralty circular letter number 9 of August 3, 1905. @LukePollard@AlistairCarns@RoyalNavy

Rear Adm Philip E. Sobeck
Head of Military Sealift Command (MSC) & CDRE RFA Sam Shattock visited our ship while alongside Portland, Dorset. RADM Sobeck met our ships company and toured our ship. Captain Peter R Spalding RFA hosted our visitors. #RFAHQ#Militarysealiftcommand
The real winners in our eyes @Wimbledon 🍓 🎾 are our volunteer stewards from @RFAHeadquarters who, for the first time in the tournaments history, delivered safety & security alongwith @RoyalNavy stewards. BZ! 👏 #RFA120
