@creatorclues@ArchTheAtheist Hey Mitch, heโs asking for contemporary evidence. You cited second person accounts of sightings that had happened around the time of the resurrection.
But I think our faith speaks volumes.
@sarahsalviander Yeah. I noticed that you didnโt reply to my question about the connection of Hadley cells to the book of Revelation. ๐
Seriously though, Sarah, I know you have a lot on your plate right now. Sending prayers for your recovery.

Independent of personal experience
Subjective
Derived from personal experience
Once feelings or opinions become a dependent factor, then it cannot be considered truth.
@sarahsalviander@wendelltalks Hey Sarah. Take a look at Revelation 7 verse 1 and then read up on the effect of climate change on Hadley cells. Do these seem eerily similar to you?
@followffoz Thereโs two additional principle that I base my reading on:
1. The Bible is not a science text book.
2. Jesus spoke of his Father as someone who does not expect His children (us) to know exactly how or even when He created the universe and everything in it.
@Ihunanya_chi However, to look at this in a religious context, the Gospels narrate several instances where Jesus is talking with his Father. So they are two distinct persons. But the same God.
<mind warp>
@Ihunanya_chi Itโs entirely futile to wrap your head around this. If you want to compare it to something in the secular world, it would be like if you tried to imagine what an object would be like in the fourth dimension. The mind is incapable of doing this.
@creatorclues@SonofManwithus To expand on this, Scripture never claims to be a scientific reference. However it does argue as follows:
Because of the Messiah Jesus, you now have a Father in heaven who asks you not to worry about anything.
So why then be concerned about how God really did it?
@creatorclues@SonofManwithus Glad you asked. ๐. The poll implies that you can either have evolution or creation, but not both, and not neither of them.
Scientific discovery shows biological tendency towards specialization so macro evolution cannot be ruled out.
@JakeRammos Good question. Totally uninspired but since most of those with whom I communicate are Americans, I thought it important to indicate in my username that I am significantly influenced by Canadian culture. ๐จ๐ฆ
@RobotSynergy@god_came_down This prophecy is very significant as it combines the references to the sacrifice, โthe latter time of their kingdomโ, and the martyrdom of the โholy peopleโ.
But it canโt stand on its own. It needs other contextual references to narrow down the time frame.
@RobotSynergy@god_came_down Iโve yet to find that pivoting verse in scripture that convinces me of futurism.
Historicism seems to answer these questions far easier.
