Dunta because he was a number one. It's tough to say if Kamari hung them up today, two years as number 2 - even as good as he is - that he eclipses them yet. Different convo even at the end of this year, if trajectory holds.

@Unomakk @LandryLocker Kareem was a long time CB2 that performed really well against his peer group. He was, for a really short while, a potentially great safety, I agree. But his longevity as CB2 was really strong on this team. Lassiter maybe has already peaked higher, but if he hung them up today...

So, when a bunch of other dudes have the guy at 4.45 (as an example) with two failure points. But the one outlier of 4.52 has only one failure point. The single failure point still might be to blame.

Just because Caserio pulling off the Watson trade got the Texans the draft capital for the turnaround. However, saying the Texans weren't the laughing stock of the NFL is just plain wrong, imo.

@SauceSportsHTX Mike McDaniel runs a version of the Slowik offense. If he has a chance, either another off-season in this system or a better version of his rookie system are an ok bet. But the dude's clutch is just gone. Some people never come back from that.

The ability to get the most of all acquisition, big ones, emergency ones, etc. and when it doesn't work out like CJGJ, they move on quickly and keep the development flywheel moving.

A Texan now holds an NFL record that may never be matched. Ka'imi Fairbairn may forever be the only player to ever be on two teams that started 0-3 yet made the playoffs, since that is so rare. I think that deserves a moment of appreciation for the top point scorer of both teams.
