The progressive left (or at least segments of them) - those who claimed to be bastions of open-mindedness and exemplars of tolerance - have now categorically demonstrated they are just as racist, and prone to stereotypes, and guilty of the most basest form of slandering against Muslims, as the Far Right.

Just like the right accused all Muslims, and blamed the Quran, for every single terrorist attack, and smeared mainstream teachings of Islam after every 'jihadist' attack, and forced us to 'defend' our values any time some global incident happened, so too now we see icons of the left fall prey to the same crass and malevolent lies.

Apparently, for @sasa_ghada, to teach Quranic values of morality is inherently inciting violence, and hence any attack anywhere in the world (ironically even when not done by a Muslim!!) is directly linked to me preaching mainstream family values.

WE WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED! I am rarely this blunt, but I cannot be quiet in the face of this smear campaign. Shame on you, Ghada, and all of those who profess our faith, to now resort to these exact tactics of the right.

This attack has nothing to do with me, or with the Quran, or with the teachings of our faith. I will continue to preach my faith, and I will not be asked to answer for each and every violence perpetrated in the world that has nothing to do with me, or my teachings (and in fact explicitly contradicts the message I constantly convey).
