I don't think it's necessary to enforce a quota of Canadian content anymore. Many of the biggest stars in music are Canadian (like Drake or JB) which means a large percentage of music being played is already Canadian content, probably more than the 35% quota #munmus2011 (unit 11)

I agree with Wald. The most popular genres for youth today are EDM and mumble rap which don't use real musical instruments, so a DJ takes the place of a live band. It sounds the same on the record and IRL. I would rather listen to a real band play as opposed to a DJ #MUNMUS2011

(unit 7) “Schlock Rock” is definitely cultural theft. Great songs by black artists were remade by untalented white boys in attempt to appeal to more people. The fact that black artists did not get the recognition they deserved is unethical and racist #MUNMUS2011

I think that Ray Charles used a breaking voice in his song "I’ve got a woman" as a way to express himself and his passion. Ray Charles has mastered the voice break and used it perfectly in this song... other artists could take notes #munmus2011
