Retired! Dr. Norm Catto has made immeasurable contributions to Geog @MemorialU & @CanGeographers, & served our @memorialhss & MUNL community beyond what one would deem reasonable for the average human. An incredible teacher & colleague. We will miss his wild shirts &quiet humour!
@hayley_peterss There are so many sub-genres in popular music, and many people listen to, and appreciate lots of them. It's not fair to say that the whole genre is "dumbed down" when there is so much intent and purpose put into many popular music songs. #S22POPMUS
@Bowen_Wang926 I agree that some types of popular music can create the false need of money and material things. Song lyrics that include expensive brand names and luxury cars can make people subconsciously strive for those things that are often unattainable. #S22POPMUS
I encourage you to find time this weekend to take care of yourself by doing something you love. It’s been a long week Thank you @NLESDCA@NlesdP@NLTeachersAssoc for continuing the focus on wellness. Stay positive.
@KelseyVinnicom2 I agree! Using breaking is a great way of adding significance to the music, but also the words of the song and the message he is trying to convey through those words. This technique likely captivated his audiences. #MUNMUS2011
@Taylor82653790 I agree! Not only did his breaking convey emotion, but it also shows off his great musical talent and was likely a way of really captivating an audience.#MUNMUS2011
@RMus2011 I completely agree. It seemed like Adele was in the news much more because of her recent weight loss than any of her other musical accomplishments.

Fantastic interview: "Our #queer science, which developed in Newfoundland through CLEAR, is probably going to look a lot different than other queer science." Congrats Elise & Alex & others. Smart stuff! #queersoftwitter#queerscience#science https://t.co/lvzOnwMtw5
Reasons we eat our scientific samples:
1. Geese are delicious
2. All we need for study is the GI tract, in that little bag on the right. There is so much waste otherwise!
3. Basic respect for the goose
4. Food sovereignty is more than something you study
