I saw @Cary_Elwes on his Inconceivable tour Friday. It was magical; Mr. Elwes has so much wit and charm. However, the interviewer for the evening objectified him, centered herself, and left my friends and myself cringing. It goes both ways, and he deserved better.

@reverendofdoubt Did they perhaps mean "too sick for current ICU staffing levels"? I'm a traveler and the number of places I see blocked beds because their simply isn't enough staff is astronomical. (And I recognize the ED has the same problem. It all trickles down to become your problem.)

@NNNN996 @rn_flex I'm PCU/Stepdown. Our acuity has been so high, and we're being asked to take more patients. We're having to prioritize care to the point I barely assess and medicate my most stable patients and spend most of my night trying to keep my sickest ones alive. This isn't nursing!

@rn_flex I may have 3-5 years left, but only because I am a travel RN and building in plenty of breaks. And my exit strategy is my homestead, so building up our output to make it a viable business option.

@NNNN996 @rn_flex The number of times I get report from an ED RN and they say, "This is the report I got, I haven't had time to see them." This is NOT a dig at those nurses, it is an indication of how broken everything is. I always try to reassure them I get it.

@MortytheRN I'm somewhat well known for calling doctors (and I'm on night shift) to demand parameters for meds that should already have them. I'm not playing a guessing game with cardiac meds because they don't feel like extra typing on their orders.

@jtrebach As a mom and nurse, the entire family never gets the ACTUAL flu at the same time- it runs through one or two a time, and usually the mom has it last from caring for everyone else. I'd find that very suss and be demanding other things be considered!

@ColoFightsBack @thelordbasil Additionally, especially in this season (hemisphere dependent), people shopping with children may have to chose leaving their children alone in a cold/hot vehicle or exposing then to weather they can't regulate as well as adults.

There are plenty of people with disabilities that do not require a motorized cart, if they are even available and charged, but for whom the act of shopping remains challenging. Sure, some people are just jerks. But there are other factors. 1/2

@EmmmieG @loretta_sanborn @pattonoswalt I was reading that he received it as a gift, didn't bother to acknowledge it even when the sender specifically asked after in in future years, and never did play it. So they are mad that she played a flute he found entirely unimportant and cared nothing about.
