The military’s Inspector General is how a service member safely reports fraud, abuse, a dangerous commander, or a sexual assault, often anonymously, without fear of retaliation. Hegseth’s overhaul strips that anonymity, lets “non-credible” complaints get tossed, and flags anyone who files too often. He calls the old system “weaponized," yet offered no evidence.

Congress created the Medicare Improvement Fund for exactly what the name says: to IMPROVE Medicare.

There was nearly $2 billion sitting in it.

That money could have gone toward improving access to doctors, chronic-disease care, modernizing physician payments, lowering out-of-pocket costs or other long-term improvements to traditional Medicare.

Instead, Trump is using most of it to send 20 million seniors a one-time $90 check — about a month before the midterm elections.

The standard Medicare Part B premium is $202.90 a MONTH.

So we’re spending nearly $2 billion from a fund created to improve Medicare to give people a check that doesn’t even cover half of one month’s premium.

Then the money is gone.

Medicare isn’t $2 billion better. Everyone just got $90.

THE “WORST OF THE WORST”: A NUN WITH A WORK PERMIT.

Sleep peacefully, America. ICE caught Sister Leticia Ugboaja walking to Sunday Mass.

She had a valid work permit, attended EVERY required immigration appointment and complied with EVERY condition of her court-ordered protection.

A nun. A nurse. Following the rules. Walking to church.

Thank God they got to her before she could receive Communion.

It took intervention from members of Congress to help secure her release. Apparently, a work permit and doing everything immigration officials require aren’t quite as effective as knowing someone in Congress.

BREAKING: YES! U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly BLOCKS Trump’s White House ban on CNN, Politico, and MS NOW in a stunningly fast defeat for MAGA.

Are we tired of winning yet, folks?

Kelly has ordered the administration to return access to the outlets in question by placing a temporary block on the ban, which Trump put into place last Friday while whining about supposed “fake news.”

The news organizations promptly sued, confident that they were on unshakable legal ground since Trump’s ban — which he pathetically, retroactively tried to justify on “national security” grounds — represents a blatant violation of the First Amendment.

Kelly’s late-night ruling, which came after a hearing yesterday in which he voiced doubts that the administration had followed due process, directs the White House to “immediately return, reinstate, and restore” the outlets’ access.

Kelly’s temporary restraining order on the ban will be in effect for two weeks and during that time it’s likely that a more permanent legal remedy will be implemented. Judging by the developments in the case so far, it seems extremely likely that Trump is headed for total defeat.

“This is a high bar, but Plaintiffs have met it,” he wrote, regarding the request for the order.

He also directly questioned the validity of Trump’s patently absurd defense of the ban—

“Nothing in the record ... suggests that the revocation of Plaintiffs’ hard passes was motivated by national security concerns,” the judge wrote.

“This is a strong ruling vindicating freedom of the press, due process and the rule of law,” stated Theodore Boutrous Jr., an attorney for the outlets. “We greatly appreciate the court’s swift action.”
