Seattle needs a levy that puts us on track to meet our city’s climate, safety, and equity goals. The draft levy proposal falls short.
Join us in asking the city to put our money where our values and goals are, and improve the draft transportation levy! https://t.co/k8FQq4QfIR
We're relieved that there were no serious injuries, but this crash put the lives of innocent bystanders just trying to enjoy a baseball game at risk. This shouldn't happen on a 25 mph road
Sat (3/23): driver on Lake WA Blvd hits tree, obliterates sign at Genesee Park
Last month: driver on Lake WA Blvd hits tree at Alaska St, had to be extracted from vehicle
We need this park road to be slower & safer for everyone
@SeattleParks@seattledot@Spottnik@CMTammyMorales
"A speed study SDOT completed last year at MLK & S Alaska Street showed that 79.9% of northbound drivers are exceeding the 25 mph posted speed limit, w/ over 250 drivers per day on average exceeding 40 mph."
To make MLK Way a Zero Crash Corridor, we need to change the road design
There's a lot to love, especially the multiple pedestrian safety upgrades and improved bike connection that will make it much safer for students to get to/from school.
Kudos to all of the wonderful work that @rainierbeach has been doing to make this corridor better for everyone!
