Eshet Chayil
Known to many as the infamous “Proverbs 31 Woman.”
Translations often render her as “a good wife” – but this is not who Eshet Chayil is.
She is “a woman of valor”
She is strength, power, might. A WARRIOR.
Eshet Chayil is not something you do. It is WHO you are.
@jasonstaples Giving reality to one of my biggest fears (and by that I mean, that I end up misunderstanding/misrepresenting someone's work)
Though, also probably also not a great thing to be on the receiving end of either!
Congrats to all my friends whose papers have been accepted for SBL! I'm feeling the FOMO as I did not submit (though hopefully still attending). However, I have gotten initial drafts of two chapters written for my disst, which feels more worthy of my focus right now 💪
@jasonstaples Advent has been a really important and special time for our family. We didn't want xmas to feel so rushed and gift-based, so we started observing when we became parents. We tell the story, read, sing, and light our candles every Sunday eve as a family. I adore it.
I heard that some Gen Z'ers at my presentation said I was, and I quote, "a vibe."
I need this on a shirt. Stat. That way I can ride this high for waaaaay longer 🫠

This is ridiculous. Can't even make up his mind about conquering thru violent force and buying/trading, and signing treaties. Are we conquerors or settlers? Buyers or political deal makers? I guess I just hate America, apparently.
America was conquered, not stolen.
A few thoughts on Thanksgiving, national pride and the leftwing campaign to rewrite history and tear America down from the inside.
