A first-year bachelor's student in engineering at the University of Liège,  Loris Bigatton,  came to my office at the beginning of the summer holidays, telling me that he would like to be hired as an intern in the research group.

I was hesitating because I usually do not hire research students before their third year bachelor's studies.

But I accepted and he did the impossible: writing a very high-quality research paper in just three months - at 19 years old!

I think he deserves a BIG APPLAUSE from everyone for all his hard work and his dedication to speeding up the energy transition with high-quality research. 

Many thanks also to his two other co-authors, Raphaël Fonteneau and @DachetV, for supervising him so well.
