The adoption of this law in France is a historic step forward. It is a long-awaited victory for victims of rape and the culmination of years of tireless campaigning by activists, feminist organizations and survivors of sexual violence.
@graceyswer …and the Police might say that, but that doesn’t mean the doc supports it. We were there to film/hear more about night light’s work & to speak to the women who’ve made a real difference, and the young people helped. As I say I’m sorry to hear you’re disappointed by it.
@graceyswer @labour4decrim @BBCiPlayer@BBCWorld@ASPolice@BarnardosNews That’s not the focus though - the focus is on the women & how they are helping tackle CSE. I haven’t blocked anybody - always open to feedback - especially from SWs…hence why I responded in the first place.
Street sex workers are helping stop child abuse. Our doc ‘The sex detectives: keeping kids safe’ is now on @BBCiPlayer & will be shown on @BBCWorld this weekend. Thanks to @ASPolice@BarnardosNews for the access - and to the women who shared their stories https://t.co/VUADvOQg81
@labour4decrim Hi - sorry you’re disappointed in the piece. Have you watched the doc as the focus is how sex workers in Bristol are helping protect children at risk of exploitation - not on sex work legislation. There are also plenty of stats in it about CSE & the results of night light to date
“Filming me sleep made my mental health worse…it’s like big brother is watching you” - are cameras put in bedrooms doing more harm than good? Thanks to @StopOxevision@Shrink_at_Large & the other patients who shared experiences https://t.co/DgAecr2YQv
