Excited that @espn has finally wised up and moved me from @NBA action to the real deal, @RaabLeague. As @kpelton has said, "Parody is the second highest form of flattery!"
Then we end with some bids for guys, i guess we're wanted so we threw value out the window: like dinwiddie, kuzma, and Tobias (he's same category as Jrue; nice player, but for $36m/$112 cap, not enough there).
@BDHollowell then grabs @JonasValanciun5 and @JakobPoeltl for decent auction bucks, but not great job of considering positional needs between the two. In a league going multiple categorical, it's a strange zig (or zag, whichever).
Even though only $43, @JustinBonk reached for @MB3FIVE. Barely rosterable on my rater, maybe top 150 is his top shelf.
Next pick by @alexwu was very bad pick. $243 for @Jrue_Holiday11. A darling of mine for a long time, but now he's $32m, a bit much against a $112m salary cap
After savvy move for @JimmyButler, @macconforti snags @DeandreAyton for $258 very late, esp with that $12m salary. Top 10 on my rater. Late in draft, thought we'd see bigger number for him.
@macconforti with savvy play here, as he's prone to do, grabs @JimmyButler for $39. Top 80 in my rater, so not incredibly high, but only alpha still available at this point.
@therealzacg then does what he does. Grabs @kporzee for measly $5, and then later flips him for assets.
@mikal_bridges goes for one of highest amounts in draft. Probably more later in auction and low salary meeting at the right place, but that was surprise to see.
@joshnfriedman w a decent pick right behind w Lonzo Ball. slightly cheaper salary than Fox. Not as bad from FT line. @DevinBook and @Holla_At_Rob33 were good too, and @CapelaClint keeper. Let's see if washington fantasy basketball team has right coach on sidelines to handle this.
@CrialKilru is a celebrity in these parts, branching off to do non @RaabLeague TV (didn't know that was permitted in the @raableague owner contracts), but went too high for De'Aaron Fox with $200. Middle of pack on my rater. Never like a PG to force me into FT punt build.
Like the moxie of @ADavis216 drafting @JoelEmbiid for $224 about 1/3 way through the draft. He's top 10 on my rater. comes with injury risk, sure, but arrives w/ championship potential. Much better pick than @rudygobert27 and @Original_Turner just ahead of him. Cornerstone piece
Really liked @patmbird grabbing John Collins to pair with @Dsabonis11. That's a championship level front office there. Is @tbird243499 consulting behind the scenes. I'll leave that to @raableague investigative reports like Raab @kevinarnovitz
A few spots after @rudygobert27 , @Original_Turner went for $50 auction bucks less; much higher on my rater, but maybe name cache means something in @RaabLeague
@rickyrubio9 is barely rosterable on my rater; yet, nominated relatively early and bought for $10 auction; why @_victorwu_ Rookie nerves? Where was brother Alex to help on that one. Half the guys in this @RaabLeague loves the @cavs but let's be sensible here.
@agillespie04 too big of a reach for Derrick White at $272, esp early. injury history. Basically paid for all the upside.
@harleypeas getting @rudygobert27 for $134 was biggest debate in media room. My rater is very low on him, but others like him at that price. Reach to me.
just cycling through my notes for the night: $350 for @Giannis_An34, who is barely top 100 on my rater. @_victorwu_ maybe a little too excited there.
Nice work by @charlietemk to acquire @shaiglalex for $407, top 10 on my rater.
Loved seeing the bidding @luka7doncic. With $500 in Auction dollars, teams took it right up to the top. $498 by @brianstek still seems like a bargain for 5th best player on my rater.
Loved the fast-paced action of the @raableague auction. So much better than the archaic ping-balls and the lull for commercials of the @NBA. Nominate and bid, and move it along. Though there were some glitches causing some starts and stops; I blame @Fantrax for that.
