Payable vs Non-Payable in the EVM

In bytecode, the only diff between payable & non-payable is a CALLVALUE check.

Payable skips this check → ETH goes to contract balance.

So payable = removing the rejection guard.

In Solidity, marking a function payable means it can receive ETH. Without it, any ETH sent with the call will revert.
