Ekam Monfum, a 38yo green card holder from Rock Hill, South Carolina was charged for registering and casting a ballot despite not being a U.S. citizen.

Federal prosecutors say a voter registration was submitted in his name in August 2024, which falsely affirmed U.S. citizenship.

Monfum faces up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine if convicted.
