@ShivaniM_KC Absolutely, I recognise it, it concerns me (I have T1DM too so get to see both sides!).
I think people with DM benefit from MDT care when it is done well but I will never advocate for care without a doctor - doctors are fundamental to DM care -always will be (in my humble view!)

I apologise, I'm not trying to belittle valid medical concerns, there have been some posts about specialists & international colleagues though that have been worrying... I asked people I respect, what this future they are all planning/discussing actually means?

I trust and respect your views which is why I asked what the end game is....i.e. do we still have a place. It seems, if we can prove our relevance and safety, we still have value?

It is only fair to be honest with us....we work hard day in day out for our teams/those in our care. We are not bad people.

Get rid of ANPs, ACPs, PAs....then come for the CNS as we prescribe and are therefore 'noctors' too? What about the IMGs and International nurses who have helped my hospital survive?

I do not think that nurses, as a profession, wish to provide a poor standard of basic care - it is essential. Many of us really do try to do everything. Cannot deny there are deficits in care and please believe me that we are devastated by it.
