Today, the UAW issued a cease and desist against a Super PAC called "A Stronger Michigan" for use of the UAW's "wheel" logo in election ads promoting a candidate not endorsed by the Union.
This is yet another example of why we need dark money corporate PACs out of our politics. These ads are a deliberate attempt at misleading voters in Michigan, including hundreds of thousands of active and retired UAW members and their families across the state.
The UAW has a member-driven approach to our endorsements. We reviewed questionnaires, interviewed candidates, and a Counsel of Local, Regional, and International leaders voted by a two-thirds majority to endorse @AbdulElSayed.
We will not stand for any corporate entity attempting to undermine our Union's democratic process.
a lot of people, especially westerners, especially-especially americans, conflate considering others with being controlled & respond with defiance. it’s very weird behavior.
I need to be very clear here Neera: I worked on Haley Steven's 2018 campaign, helped win that district for her.
I am 100% behind Abdul El-Sayed and you need to fuck right off with this bullshit
Is Christian Pulisic a player that shows up in the big moments? No. Is he good leader? No. Does he have a charisma? No. Does he at least have good morals? No.
when I was in Michigan I met people who said the way for Abdul El-Sayed to beat Haley Stevens would be to just play her clip saying "Israel comes to me in my dreams" over and over. Now his campaign has built a website that does just that: https://t.co/2XVfKaCMFw
my dad liked her a lot based on commercials and articles, but had never heard her speak. We watched the debate together and he is fully out on her after the debate, and I really think it’s just because of her speaking.
