Happiness isn’t just about pleasure – it is far more complicated than that and involves a huge number of brain chemicals.
@GinnySmithSci has selected four science-backed tips that are key in living a happy life 👇

OVERLOADED is out TODAY!
@GinnySmithSci explores the important chemicals that run our brains and the roles they play in all aspects of our experiences, from how we make decisions, what we remember to basic survival drives such as hunger, fear and sleep.

Excited to have our very own Jon Hale talking on the Digital Construction panel at the @impulse_labs event this Wednesday. To listen to Jon's discussion, click here: https://t.co/jKDE8qu9uZ #venturecapitalist#construction#digital
Novel approach to sales there from @ThreeUK "I can do the 4GB for you at the same price as the 8GB". Fantastic, I'm so glad I asked, what a great deal - you can give me a worse plan for the same price. Maybe I could pay extra for the privilege too? 😂
Did you know that our digital arm ‘Ventures’ is seeking visionary businesses to partner with? We’re looking for #startups to drive #digital transformation in #infrastructure. If you’re interested, contact us today: https://t.co/vtu4N7mIBG
This is important - IF you are largely eating a meat-based diet. However once you're already largely vege, then local becomes a useful proxy for seasonal (with a few exceptions like heated greenhouses)
You want to reduce the carbon footprint of your food?
Focus on what you eat, not whether your food is local.

Also: "I did a thesis on neural networks, though at the time, neural networks didn't work very well and there was consensus that they were just nonsense." That's science for you!

This tickled me: "Before I moved into AI, I became a carpenter, and whilst I enjoyed it, I wasn't an expert. During that time I met a really good carpenter, and it was highly depressing, so I went back into academia" Geoffrey Hinton, Godfather of deep learning.
A project that I am proud and incredibly privileged to have been a part of. The DT Hub wants to accelerate the adoption of Gemini-aligned digital twins by growing a web-enabled community that will learn through doing and progress by sharing. https://t.co/nIIuL5mopW #DTHub
Interesting to consider what positives might come out of the current crisis, and how we can use it as the ultimate reset button for the global economy. HT @infra_adam
Covid-19: The Low-Carbon Crisis. My latest for @BloombergNEF is a deep dive into the implications of the pandemic on the energy and transport transition. TLDR: it changes everything: https://t.co/GNJsI8ZwwS
@sjevansuk When you cut through all the marketing hype, do either of them actually have any demonstrable use cases that would meet the CDBB definition of a DT - ie connected by data, live and updating, not just BIM rebadged?
@future_dist @sjevansuk Good point. Amulet/Assetwise def provided this capability - I'm just yet to work with a client who actually used it (or subsequent evolutions). Interested to know who does
@mo_shanaa@sjevansuk@Just_Super@CaseyRutland @GroupBC_Ltd I like the examples split by stage of asset lifecycle - but value of the twin is really in the sense making (ie analytics) and decision making layers ie how do they help achieve their purpose. Maybe reframe the examples in that way - rather than current focus on the data sources
Precisely my issue with this model - fuels marketing hype and misunderstanding of digital twins, rebadging existing BAU good practice BIM as "DT level 2". Potential value is incredible - and there are L3/4 digital twins already. Not a linear progression, driven by use case value
All told, the fuel duty freeze means UK CO2 emissions are up to 5% higher than they could have been if planned increases in rate had gone ahead.
And road transport emissions, which increased by 3% over the past decade, could instead have fallen by 13%.
