ULA is delaying tomorrow's Atlas 5 launch from the Cape because of predicted poor weather. "The launch vehicle and spacecraft are healthy. A new launch date will be provided upon finalization of range approvals and deconfliction with the NASA Artemis II launch."
Our new film APOLLO 1 is on the UK's @Channel4 TOMORROW - 7th December at 9:30pm.
"If you enjoyed BBC2’s Once upon a Time in Space (still on iPlayer), this one-off doc is along similar lines and equally good. It charts an earlier part of the history of space flight, focusing on the ill-starred Apollo 1 mission — a key stepping stone in Nasa’s race to put men on the Moon." - David Butcher, Radio Times

BREAKING: The @FAAnews is implementing a Launch Curfew for All Commercial Launches & Re-entries.
Launches & Re-entries are banned between 06:00 - 22:00 local time, starting Monday, November 10th.
I think I am correct in saying that this is unprecedented.
The Emergency Order does not explain how the "local time" of a re-entry will be determined. Re-entries typically span multiple timezones.
Here is the exact language of the Emergency Order:
Accordingly, with respect to commercial space launches and reentries, under the authority provided to the FAA Administrator by 49 U.S.C. §§ 40103, 40113, and 46105(c), and authority delegated to the FAA Administrator under 51 U.S.C. § 50909(a), it is hereby ordered that, beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST on November 10, 2025, and until this Order is cancelled, Commercial space launches and reentries will only be permitted between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. local time.
From the Mojave Desert to the Moon!
We completed the final integrated fixed-wing flight test for our Blue Moon MK1 lunar lander's navigation systems in the Mojave, validating our precision landing hardware and software. A test pod, equipped with a complete navigation sensor suite, was installed on the plane for a comprehensive end-to-end demonstration of all MK1 navigation hardware and software functionality, complementary to testing planned in the vehicle test bed.
New Glenn’s inaugural mission is targeting January 13. Our three-hour launch window opens Monday at 1 a.m. EST (0600 UTC).
Join us here for the webcast hosted by Ariane Cornell and Denisse Aranda beginning an hour before launch!
It has been a very long time since I have thought about Bodger and Badger, but @watsoncomedian entertained me so much with the memory tonight that I’ve returned to Twitter to say I’m attempting to explain it to my US friend… 😂
@star_lightw Assume you’ve done dense breasts already? Because I have the personal story on that one, with me finding out that the consultant wasn’t just insulting me by calling me dense, and finding out the hard way that yeah, it’s a thing, and it is doubly bad.
