ESA will implement an astronaut mission to the International @Space_Station for Greece with @vast 🇬🇷👨🚀
@esa project astronaut Adrianos Golemis is planned to serve as mission specialist and, pending approval, become the first Greek astronaut in space. He would join ESA astronaut @Thom_astro as commander and ESA project astronaut @astro_ales as pilot on a mission planned for 2027.

We design and manufacture laser retroreflector arrays in-house for Haven-1. Each array has three corner-cube retroreflectors mounted to an aluminum hub that reflect light back to visiting spacecraft, providing range and orientation during rendezvous and docking.
An intricate tubing system, consisting of more than 300 assemblies, will move oxygen, water, coolant, and propellant throughout Haven-1. Each one is designed, bent, welded, inspected, and tested, then installed on the flight vehicle at our Long Beach headquarters.
We design, build, and qualify Haven-1's cold plates in-house. Waste heat conducts from avionics devices into the plate, transfers to a pumped fluid loop, and the external radiator rejects it to space. These same thermal control systems will be scaled to Vast Satellite and future stations.
Our space stations and satellites use fluid systems to transport oxygen, water, coolant, and fuel. We manufacture, test, and integrate these systems in-house with the speed, precision, and scale required to build next-generation space infrastructure, starting with Haven-1.

Our wet trash system is one of several life-support systems aboard Haven-1. The system manages wet waste containment with integrated odor control and vacuum venting. It’s part of a comprehensive support system designed to keep crews safe in space.

Our food packaging, specialized utensils, and deployable table were designed with input from our Astronaut advisors, @astro_feustel and @astro_suni. The table can be easily disassembled and stowed away, while the packaging and utensils are made for practical use in microgravity.
