Our Students, Make Our Nation Proud!

Hon’ble MoS (I/C), MoES, @DrJitendraSingh felicitated Team India Students-Riddhi Ranjan, Md. Ehtesham Rizwi, Aaron Maiti and Saumik Mandal for their outstanding performance at the 19th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO-2026), held in Turin, Italy, from 20–27 August 2026.

Hon’ble MoS congratulated the students for their remarkable achievement and appreciated their dedication, scientific curiosity and commitment to excellence. The achievement reflects the growing interest and capabilities of India’s young minds in Earth sciences and highlights the importance of nurturing scientific talent from an early stage.

Competing among teams from 39 countries, India delivered its best-ever performance at the prestigious international competition, securing an impressive 9 medals — 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze — across the Written & Practical, International Team Field Investigation and Earth Science Project competitions.

The MoES continues to support initiatives that encourage young students to explore Earth sciences and contribute to a deeper understanding of our planet’s complex systems
