@Jason@altcap@Jason Google and Facebook were profitable within a few years of founding and had large net incomes at IPO. OpenAI cash burn is $5B a year.
My 2 (and then some) cents on the RBI and the Fintech Fallacy:
1. RBI's actions over the years have generated a wave of passionate responses from the community. Here are my 2 cents on the challenges related to the fintech landscape and the role of the RBI

@gokulr Agree, Gokul. India's pursuit needs addressing the low women's labor force participation, which is ~ 20% & declining over the years
Far below the global avg of 50%, the developed world avg of 55%, & China's 60%. Need to harness this untapped potential to unleash economic growth
@1kunalbahl The real issue is the government's collosial failure in vaccination and sterilization, not the stray dogs themselves.
Addressing the core issue is essential; demonizing stray dogs is an easy way out.
@banglani Global gold value is ~$12.5 trillion, while the global assets(real+financial) value is ~$550-600 trillion. There is ample room to absorb new gold.
Asteroid gold could create a luxury niche within the gold market & increase price of gold. Earth gold will maintain its value.
@abidsensibull For the middle class, it's not merely about flaunting material possessions; it's about the feeling of being successful after enduring countless hardships and struggles.
Even Elon Musk, upon first tasting wealth from selling Zip2, indulged in purchasing an expensive Ferrari.
@gokulr Absolutely true, Gokul. Reminds me of a statement by Eric Schmidt, where he recounted how working alongside the 98-yr-old Henry Kissinger convinced him that the secret to longevity is being a workaholic & having a purpose. Kissinger still puts in 15-hour workdays today.
@sjs_day1@zomato@deepigoyal@akshant_g@sbikh@mobhat Incredibly so! @zomato epitomizes the power of "execution excellence". This journey exemplifies how to thrive by focusing on customer needs, innovating rapidly, and adapting to market dynamics. A testament to @deepigoyal entrepreneurial grit! 👏
@sbikh - Focusing solely on starting salaries oversimplifies the entire argument, disregarding other significant benefits.
- Students prioritise civil services post bachelors degree. So # IIT >> IIM in civil services. In fact # of bureaucrats w bachelors >> masters in civil services
@sbikh True Sanjeev Sir. Most points are flawed.
- IIMs offer generous scholarships/fee waivers for EWS, up to 100% of the fees. Someone not attending IIMs due to fees is extremely rare.
- # of IIT grads/yr is ~6X that of IIMs. So naturally IIT >> IIM grads in any domain.
