My favorite story to tell at interviews is about how I once had a tutor who refused to continue lessons because I was slacking off. She told me “you can’t have million dollar dreams with a hundred dollar work ethic.” If I wasn’t giving my best effort, neither was she.
The unfortunate celebration of pulling down a founder who, on his own merit, competes with far more seasoned founders and operators is exactly what’s wrong with the environment.
IPO or no IPO, he’s built something credible.
I am not a Zepto investor.
But I still hate seeing the Tall Poppy syndrome play out on Indian Twitter and media. The joy some people seem to find in seeing someone else - especially young founders - have a setback.
Many of these critics have never built anything of value or attempted a tough problem.
One of the reasons Silicon Valley works is simply the abundance mindset, and people (and the media) not spending too much time and energy bringing other people down vs. focusing on solving their own problems.
I wouldn’t want to bet against the audacity of young Indian founders like @aadit_palicha. They’re stronger than you think.
Quick observations on WhatsApp Dual Account @kunalb11
• Easy to set up
• Chats restored seamlessly
• Message delivery seems a bit delayed on the secondary number
• Chat themes remain synced across both accounts, even after changing them individually
• Occasional UI glitches - screen/keyboard freezes and call/back icons stop responding, requiring an app restart
I’m convinced that the most underrated trait in a romantic partner is that they bring peace into your life. Days are filled with enough chaos and uncertainty. Being able to come home to someone who defaults to emotional consistency, who creates a peace, is massively underrated.
@gayathrithedev I have had a few of these - does a beatiful job of intense focus with calm. Not regular but once a week - especially on ultra-GSD days.
@DearS_o_n Work as much as you can. Hit 10k daily. Talk to people you feel like - vent if needed. When you come out of it, you’ll have bruises, not wounds. Easier to pick yourself up and run again.
Hi Shashank, I believe this is largely by design.
A slightly longer reply- bear with me 🙂
I spent almost 3 months seriously evaluating Apple Watch vs Whoop and came very close to buying Whoop before finally choosing Apple.
Top-level thoughts:
A) From informal conversations with people across age groups, Whoop’s recovery scores sometimes feel inconsistent. Many mentioned days where recovery looked “great” but they felt terrible—and vice versa.
B) I think Apple intentionally designs for mass adoption and mental comfort. Their focus seems to be: help people understand health without overwhelming them. Too much complexity can easily lead to health anxiety.
C) Apple Watch is FDA-approved. Practically anywhere in the world, if your watch flags something serious, most doctors will take it seriously and act on it. I don’t think Whoop has that level of medical credibility yet.
This is just how I look at it - and I’d genuinely love to hear why you feel it’s not the best way to represent the data.
PS: I’m down with the flu this week too. Happy to exchange notes on how my metrics shifted pre-sickness vs recovery over DM if you’re up for it.
This is a very wild and misleading way to present this example.
The majority of the aunties being referred to here raised solid kids who are doing well-economically and socially-in 2026. There will always be outliers in any data set. Picking those, especially when this group forms a major part of a growing India, creates a picture that suggests everything is broken, which simply isn’t true.
The pension does cover their lifestyle. Across various pay grades, I personally haven’t come across a single case where an aunty had to move in with her son to ask for money.
There is no resentment either. I say this after knowing at least 10 such families across different strata. Not one reflects this narrative, even if you try to read between the lines.
These aunties aren’t confused. In fact, many of them are content and leading more balanced lives than a lot of youngsters between 18–25 who believe they’ve “made it” or know better.
Speak to any seasoned financial trader or experienced technologist and they’ll tell you-wisdom carries weight. Cycles matter.
I respect Harnidh and have heard good things about her.
Her broader message is effective and largely correct. But this particular example goes too far and doesn’t reflect reality for a large section of people.
So to the younger folks reading this-pause, reconsider, and don’t assume that breaking every rule is the only way to live well or think independently.
@raizamrtn quick hack - you have an option to export (apple health screen dp> export all health data) directly in a zip file to GPT.
Reduced my screenshot weekly rigor.
