We the Civil Servants are hated by the Public because we consider ourselves as masters not servants. Pls remember the vehicles, the offices, the perks are not our rights to be used personally but for the service of our masters i.e. Public. What shamelful act if we take these facilities as our birth right because we just passed an exam. The #CSS exam is conducted by the state to choose able servants to the public NOT masters of those whose tax money is used for our perks. I have served for 23 years as a Civil Servant. I do not want to boast but for inspiration to others I want to claim that I have never allowed my kids to use my government vehicles, my kids are not allowed to visit my office.. they have never visited.. my kids do not know my designation, office location and what I do. They dont have my office number. Sometimes they do ask what I do but I just tell them I am a government officer. This way they never came with sifarish to me.. they never considered themselves different from friends and they are confident and happy kids (one 23 and one 19 Masha Allah)..
The whole mind set needs to be changed. We are servants and our kids and family must know that their father brother son is a servant.
We are naive in considering that public is ignorant in this age of communication revolution. We must put our acts right and channel our energies towards serving them and not ruling them.
I repeat.. They Hate us.. our masters hate us!!

Majority of bureaucracy don't know admn skills.
They can't email, use Microsoft Office or PowerPoint, manage Zoom meetings, prepare excel sheets or even applying law, rules or data on drafting & decisions.

They also don't know financial management, HRM.
Still, they r the best.
