It was wonderful to meet them, learn some basket weaving and also have a video chat with Saraswati’s daughter who has a BA degree in Economics. Three generations of accomplished women!

पंजाब को बाढ़ की वजह से लगभग ₹20,000 करोड़ का नुक़सान हुआ है। ऐसे में प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा घोषित ₹1600 करोड़ का प्रारंभिक राहत पैकेज पंजाब के लोगों के साथ अन्याय है।

लाखों घर उजड़ गए, 4 लाख एकड़ से ज़्यादा की फ़सल बर्बाद हो गई और बड़ी संख्या में जानवर बह गए हैं।

फिर भी पंजाब के लोगों ने अद्भुत हिम्मत और जज़्बा दिखाया है। मुझे पूरा विश्वास है कि वे एक बार फिर पंजाब को खड़ा करेंगे - उन्हें बस सहारे और मजबूती की ज़रूरत है।

मैं प्रधानमंत्री से फिर से आग्रह करता हूं कि तुरंत एक व्यापक राहत पैकेज जारी करें।

Visited the proposed Padinjarathara–Poozhithodu road site at Kottiyamvayal, along with the District Collector, District Forest Officer and PWD Executive Engineers.

This new road would make a big difference by providing an alternate route for the Thamarassery ghat road, which would improve the connectivity of the Wayanad district.
