I find it hard to go from 100 to 0. So one of my "wind-down" jobs is to upload some recent SoW.
This one - about 40 short lessons (40 mins) on Much Ado for Year 7: overview, assessment, display materials, powerpoints - much of it delivered remotely.

@Miss_K_Barker@Team_English1 Books by Rainbow Rowell? Sarah Jane Crossan? I enjoyed The Quiet at End of the World. Also Patrick Ness Chaos Walking series is so good
@SiobhanMered123 Hi Siobhan, I saw your session at Steplab and loved it, using it to help write some PD for one of our primaries for Sept. Could I DM you please?
@MrLGeo@TeacherTapp Lol! I was saying this just yesterday. I actively got rid of "smart" boards in my old school: a crisp projector, decent whiteboard and pen (and well formatted resources) is clearer than a visualiser in many cases.
The attainment gap is not only about resources.
It is also about access to:
- confidence
- learning strategies
- reflective habits
That’s why #metacognition matters.

A month to go before Metacognitive Teaching is out in the wild! Cannot wait!
Whether you’re new to metacognition or whether you’re looking to implement #metacognition in your school in the new academic year, then check out my new book:

I am genuinely STUNNED by the quality of understanding and work my Y8 are producing on Romeo and Juliet using booklets by @amy6313 as a starting point.
They're thriving so I started on booklet version C (least hinterland) but now default to booklet A (most!)

@DeputyGrocott Yes! Literally did this in reverse 2 hours ago. V easy. RER D; takes 7-8 mins. Goes every 10 mins or so. Ideally buy your ticket on your phone first (or have a topped up card from previous trip) as longest part is the queues for ticket machine.
@yoursclothing I am unable to send the form because each time it asks me to verify my email, I click immediately on the link and it says it has expired.
