Adıyaman, Turkey. One of the most damaged by the earthquake cities.
The buildings have literally "stepped" onto the cars that were parked nearby.
Hundreds of buildings in the city became rubble.

Recent droughts in Europe once again made visible the "Hunger Stones" in some Czech and German rivers. These stones were used to mark desperately low river levels that would forecast famines. This one, in Elbe river, is from 1616 and says: "If you see me, cry"

@AJStream what’s appalling is the silence of the UN and NGO society about the violations against #SyrianRefugees in #Turkey. The fear of disturbing the relationship with the Turkish Gov overweights any attempt for this society to advocate for the Syrian refugees. Shameful.
Lafarge, one of France’s biggest companies, will be charged with aiding and abetting crimes against humanity after it was accused of financing terrorist groups, including the Islamic State, while operating in Syria during the country’s civil war. https://t.co/jQPhowCIqm
If you're gonna listen to any speech about #Ukraine 🇺🇦, let it be this one.
The Kenya ambassador to the UNSC perfectly explains how people across Africa understand Ukraine, and what the Kremlin's acts of aggression mean in our post-colonial world.
The Syrians are very skilled in a number of sectors due to their good knowledge of Arabic and English, they have played an active role in international trade and opening new markets for our city.
.
Whilst country’s including #Sweden and #Denmark deemed Syria as a safe place and therefore deport Syrian refugees, #Assad is leveraging this to punish Syrians for fleeing the country. Excellent and timely report by @amnesty.
NEW Amnesty report:
Assad's forces have subjected Syrians who returned home after seeking refuge abroad to rape, detention, disappearance and torture. Syria is not safe. https://t.co/VDEHILpyKm
This is the most shocking thing I‘ve seen since I left Syria. Though I can relate and understand the level of despair one might have to do something like this.
Sorry for the disturbing content but it is happening somewhere in the world and you should know about it.
Shocking footage from Kabul Airport shows several Afghans chasing down a US Air Force plane as it takes off, with some reportedly falling to their death while clinging to the plane.
Right after US and the intl. community made the decision to comprehensively withdrew from #Afghanistan and leave it to its fate, #Taliban seized control over 95% of the country in a window of weeks. Back to square one!
