. @reformparty_uk voted at the last @Kent_cc full council meeting to refuse a debate on the serious issue of violence against women & children. With cllrs like @danieltaylor having represented your party are we surprised @LeaderofKCC? See letter from domestic abuse charities.
Well this was a lovely surprise this morning ❤️
We're really proud to share that Chapel Down has been featured among the 'most idyllic vineyards to visit in the UK' by @_houseandgarden.
We hope to see you at our place soon for a day out to remember.

I see from @LawforChangeUK website that they exist to “back legal claims with a clear social benefit to the community” and “fund public interest cases to contribute to lasting social change.”
HEAR HEAR!!! BRAVO!!
👏🏻 ❤️ 👏🏻
🤩GOOD NEWS🤩
@LawforChangeUK who supports legal action for public good, has agreed to indemnify Jenny Dawes’ challenge to the development consent order for the reopening of #Manston Airport. This affords her protection for costs if she loses her appeal 🙏🏻

🚨WE ARE NOT ALONE🚨
‘This funding page & its forerunner make clear the depth of feeling among members of the local community….We align with other community campaigners & environmental groups around the UK & with @StayGroundedNet@HopeFTFuture ‘

“The basis of the legal case is an argument about the way in which the Secretary of State reached his decision to twice grant a Development Consent Order in favour of RiverOak Strategic Partners Ltd - @RSPManston is simply an interested party.”
“As we get closer to 24 April & the hearing in the Court of Appeal, it seems a good time to address some of the myths & misinformation that have sprung up since the first funding page went live on @CrowdJusticeUK more than 3 and a half years ago”

@andyhodder @DavidHolmes____ @emirecords Handily the YouTuber gives their contact details so it is easy to check I’d imagine “For press & media enquiries of this video content

We are wholeheartedly against opening a cargo hub with planes flying low above our historical town. It will decimate tourism & is not needed. Donate here to help challenge these ridiculous & ill-informed plans. @transportgovuk@RSPManston@cmackinlay ❌✈️

“Sir Roger Gale MP, supported by Craig Mackinlay MP, is proposing to complain to the Lord Chancellor, seemingly on the basis that the Court of Appeal has dared to decide that there are valid legal questions to consider.”
@SirRogerGale@cmackinlay@RSPManston@transportgovuk
And yet… it was expert planning inspectors who recommended refusal in the first place based on the evidence. The planning system isn’t in need of reform here. It would seem you simply wish to manipulate it to suit your agenda & have provided no evidence of any secured investors.
Six years after the DCO application was submitted & almost 4 years after it was first granted by @Gov, #Manston Airport remains mired in legal challenges. The planning system is damaging investor confidence in the UK & it needs reform.

The Rt Hon Lord Justice Warby has granted permission to appeal on the "need" grounds.
Read more about the "need" grounds, approved by Mrs Justice Lieven in March 2023, and donate, here:

This post from @RSPManston is incorrect. Mr Justice Dove in fact denied the request to appeal the dismissal of the Judicial Review but Jenny Dawes had 21 days to file an application for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal. Ms. Dawes will be filing that application.
Mr Justice Dove has refused our application for permission to appeal his decision. We will be applying to the Court of Appeal. I remain of the view that the govt’s decision to proceed with Manston Airport is nonsensical & the procedure followed by the Sec. of State deeply flawed.

@transportgovuk & @RSPManston have had a week to make any submissions in response to the application (for permission to appeal)
Mr Justice Dove will make his decision on 2/10. If he refuses permission to appeal…we will have 21 days to apply to the Court of Appeal for permission
